Mrs. Helen Birkholz, 72, of the Town of Russell, widow of Carl, died Friday at the Plymouth Hospital following a lengthy illness. The former Helen Kunze was born May 20, 1900 in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kunze. On May 7, 1927 she was married to Mr. Birkholz in Columbus. The couple lived in Lombard, Ill., before moving to the Town of Russell in 1946. Mr. Birkholz died Sept. 8, 1968.
Survivors include four sons, Carl, at home, Donald of Town of Rhine, Richard of Van Dyne and Paul of Hartford and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth, the Rev. Lester Bischoff, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Glenbeulah, officiating.
