She was born in West Rutland on Nov. 17, 1921, the daughter of Edward A. and Mary A. (Dernier) LaBelle.
Mrs. Aines grew up in West Rutland, graduating from the West Rutland High School in 1938.
She had been a resident of Rutland from 1942 until relocating to Shelburne in 1996.
Mrs. Aines had been employed by the Rutland City School system for many years in the hot lunch program at the Lincoln School.
She is a member of the Saint Catherine of Siena Church in Shelburne and had been a longtime member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Rutland.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Pat Cawley of Shelburne; three sons, Dr. J. Peter Aines Jr. of Baltimore, Md., Robert Aines of Sparta, N.J., and David Aines of New Ipswich, N.H.; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, John P. Aines, on May 2, 1999, and by two brothers, John D. LaBelle and Edward A. LaBelle Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.

The funeral service for Mary Patricia "Sis" Aines, 87, of Shelburne and a former resident of Rutland who died Aug. 26, 2009 at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Center in Burlington was held Saturday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
The Rev. Timothy Naples from Christ the King Church officiated. The organist was Richard Brown and the vocalist was Lori Routhier. Readers were Jacqueline Aines, Kimberly Aines and Kerri Aines.
Bearers were Dr. J. Peter Aines Jr., Robert Aines, David Aines, Ryan Aines, Jason Aines, Thomas Cawley, Justin Cawley and Jordan Cawley.
Burial followed in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
A reception was held at the South Station Restaurant.
Arrangements were by the Aldous Funeral Home.
