MRS. DELLA LAPRATT VICTIM OF PNEUMONIA
Six Stalwart Sons Bear Body of Mother Three Months After Father's Funeral
Mrs. Della LaPratt died at her home three miles north of Caro Friday, April 21, from asthma and pneumonia.
She was born December 18, 1854 at
Anchorville and came to this county 40 years ago. She was the wife of the late Antoine LaPratt and was the mother of 12 children, 10 of whom are living. She was a woman held in high esteem by all who knew her.
She leaves seven sons and three daughters: Frank of Colwood, Louis, Orville, Alabama, Joseph of Almer; Emanuel, Antoine, Henry and Gib, at home on the farm. The daughters
are Mrs. Jarvis of CoIwood; Mary of Caro and Malena at home.
Charles Laponsee of Anchorville, her brother, had been with her for some time and the following sisters were also present at the burial. Mrs. C. F. Moore, Detroit; Mrs. Frank Socia, Mt. Clemens, Mrs. Eugene David, Fairhaven. and Mrs. Emanuel LaPratt of Almer.
Jan. 12, last, the six stalwart sons residing In Michigan, bore the body of their father to the grave and Tuesday they performed a like sad duty for their mother. Services were held at the Church of the Sacred Heart at 3:30, conducted by Rev. Fr. Cook.
