Mr. Martin Laffey an old and esteemed resident of this district, died at his lato residence. K4 Hoi worthy street, last Sunday evening. Mr. Laffey's death wits sudden and unexpected. Ha retired Sunday evening, apparently In the best of health, and was found dead In bed by his family ■'• the. morning. His death was due to apoplexy. The funeral services were held at the Sacred Heart church, where a high mass of requiem were said by Rev. T. W. Coughlln. There were may handsome floral tributes. The Interment was In the Catholic cemetery at Mt. Auburn.
