MACON - Henry O. Lamar, Sr., 89, died March 16, 2010 in Gwinnett County. Services will be held at 1P.M. Monday at St. Paul A.M.E. Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 11:30 A.M. The Rev. Ronald Slaughter will officiate. -A native of Jones County, Mr. Lamar lived in Macon for the past sixty-one years. He was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, where he served faithfully as a Steward, member of the Male Chorus, Friendship Club, and Lay Organization, where he served as Conference Chaplain. -Survivors include four children, Harold D. (Ann) Lamar, Sr. of Macon; Juanita D. Lamar of Decatur; Henry O. (Marie) Lamar, Jr. of Suwanee; and William H. (Eartha) Lamar, III of Tallahassee, Florida; two brothers, Norman J. Lamar and Booker T. Lamar of Macon; two sisters, Bernice L. Green of Detroit, Michigan and Dorothy L. Card of Macon; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. -The family may be contacted at 1082 Schaeffer Place. -Hutchings Service.
