She was a Class of 2003 graduate of Clark Atlanta University School of Library Science in Atlanta, Georgia. She was employed as a Children's Librarian in Macon, Georgia and Savannah, Georgia. She later relocated to Alpharetta, Georgia where she was employed as an Adult Services Librarian.
