VICENTA GARCIA, 85, of San Antonio passed away on December 27, 2012 in San Antonio. Vicenta was born on April 19, 1927 in Honey Island, Texas to parents, Jose Laredo Sr. and Catalina Munoz Laredo. She married Ernest Garcia on May 2, 1947 in Alvin. They moved from Alvin to San Antonio in 1979. Vicenta was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Joe Laredo Jr. and Jose Laredo II.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest Garcia of San Antonio; her children: Cynthia Aguirre and husband Gilberto of San Antonio, and Reynaldo E. Garcia of San Antonio; sisters: Consuelo L. Self of Sweeny and Cathelina Araujo of Alvin; brother Frank Laredo of Sealy; grandchildren: Jaime Aguirre, Javier Aguirre, M.D., Maritza Wong and husband Darryl, Michael Garcia, Melissa Diaz and husband Jose; great-grandchildren: Dillon, Daven, Dash, Daniella, Averie, Dryden, Eric and Amanda; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 31, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Froberg Chapel.
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. with Santos Garza officiating. Interment followed at Oak Park Cemetery.
