JUNE J. LARSEN ADAMS HANSEN

WEST HAVEN - June J Larsen Adams Hansen passed away peacefully June 20, 2007, after completing her earthly mission and returned home to her Heavenly Father and to a joyous reunion with many of her loved ones.

June was born June 16, 1913, in Elwood, Box Elder County, Utah, to Martina Jensen and William Larsen, both immigrants from Denmark. She was educated in the Box Elder School District.

June married Willis Joshua Adams in the Logan Temple on June 16, 1932. They were blessed with seven children. They moved to South Dakota where Willis worked with the Sioux Indians for over 17 years.

After Willis died in 1958, June and the three younger boys moved back to Utah. She married Walter W. Hansen in 1961 and lived in Warren for thirty-four years. Walter died in October 1995.

June worked for some time in the Davis and Weber County school system in the school lunch program. She served in the Ogden Temple and in many callings in the LDS Church.

She is survived by her daughters Darlene Hughey of Roy and Bonnie Jean Kay of Burley, Idaho; her sons, Gary Milo (Wilma) Adams of Bountiful; Robert William (Carol) Adams of Kaysville; Ronald Lee (Judy) Adams of Pleasant Grove; 29 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Also surviving are stepdaughters and sons: Myrelda (Sam) Taylor of Kenniwick, WA; Shanna (Melvin) Thompson of Clearfield; Wesley (LaRue) Hansen of Tremonton; David (Wilma) Hansen of Warren; Ernest (Kathleen) Hansen of West Point and many step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters, three brothers, two sons Bruce and Jim, two sons-in-law, Delbert and Kenneth, granddaughter Christi, and stepdaughter Rhea Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 25, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Country Meadows Ward Chapel, 3628 South 2700 West in West Haven, Utah. Friends and family may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 24, 2007, at the Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah and Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the ward chapel. Interment in the Syracuse City Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Dr. John Reis and staff and all the wonderful caregivers at Rocky Mountain Care in Clearfield and Rocky Mountain Hospice.
