Clara Larsen Ahlander, age 103, passed away March 15, 1999 in Salt Lake City.

Born March 14, 1896, Drammen, Norway to Ludwig and Janna P. Larsen. She came to Salt Lake City in July 1910. Married Elmer Ahlander, May 7, 1917, who preceded her in death January 12, 1981.

She was a wonderful wife and loving mother of two sons, Ray and Jack. She devoted her life to her home and family. Her love and concern for the well-being of others will be missed.

Survived by grandchildren: Scott Ahlander, Nancy (Richard) Scott, Brent (Linda) Ahlander, Salt Lake City; Paula (Jack) McElveen, Plant City, FL; Michal Ann (Kent) Crebo, Helena, MT; six great-granchildren: Michael Scott, Sarah, Steven and Sierra Ahlander, Salt Lake City; Jodi Maestas, Venice, CA; Janelle Crebo, Helena MT; a caring and attentive niece, Mildred Finocchio. Preceded in death by husband; sons, Raymond Carl Ahlander, Jack Ronald Ahlander; two sisters, Ragnhild Evans, Marie Bacigalupi; one brother, Carl Larsen, and a great-granddaugher, Rachel Ahlander.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 18, 1999 at 12 noon in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call Thursday at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 2nd East, from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
