Wilda Carol Larsen Blake, age 71, of Altamont, passed away April 23, 2011, at the Salt Lake Regional Medical Center.

She was born June 4, 1939, in Roosevelt, to Archie Graham and Grace Bell Larsen. She married Vernon Lee Blake, July 1, 1962, in Las Vegas, Nev. He died April 10, 2006.

Carol had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed music and, in her younger years, played the accordion in a family band. She traveled often with her husband and they lived in several places across the country. She was an excellent cook and was very protective of her family. She adored her grandkids and they worshiped her. She will be sorely missed.

Carol is survived by her children, Terri Britten (Aaron Gleeson), Mulkiteo, Wash.; Todd Blake, Anacortes, Wash.; Stacey (Brent) Gilbert, Arcadia; grandsons, Tyler Britten, Steven Gilbert, Casey Gilbert; mother, Grace Larsen, Evanston, Wyo.; brothers and sisters, Vivian Freston, Arcadia; Cliff (Norma) Larsen, Riverton; Allen "Bob" (Leslie) Larsen, Neola; Pam Whitehead (Ray Blaney), Tabiona; and Diane (David) Abbott, Evanston, Wyo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and father.

A Graveside will be held at the Altamont Cemetery on Wed., April 27 at 11 a.m. No visitation will be held.
