Mrs. Henry Cone, 68, long time resident of Hunt County, died at 5 o'clock Friday afternoon at her home, 4115 Henderson street, after an illness of more than two years duration.

Funeral services will be held at 3;30 o'clock this afternoon at the Neer & LyBrand Chapel, conducted by Rev. W.B. McDaniel and Rev. W.O. Majors, pastor of Lamar Baptist Church. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Reagan, Mun Carraway, B.B. Spencer, Mr. Latty, G.W. Frank and Guy Smith.

Mary Josephine Leakey was born on February 22, 1873 in Nacogdoches County, the daughter of Dave and Elvira Leakey. Her parents came to Hunt County when she was a child and for a number of years she made her home in the Clinton community. She moved to Greenville about 35 years ago and had since made her home here. She was married to Henry Cone on November 30, 1898, at Clinton, and two children were born to this union.

She professed religious faith fifty-two years ago and united with the Baptist Church. She had been a member of the Lamar Baptist Church here for a number of years and was active in the affairs of her church until her illness prevented her attending services.

Surviving are her husband and one granddaughter, Walter Merle Cone of Greenville, also 7 nephews and 3 nieces. Two children preceded her in death.
