Annette was born in Margate, England in 1936. She moved to Bath, England when she was one year old. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Edith Lejeune.
She graduated from Bath High School and then from St. Godric's College in London. After working in London she and a friend decided to travel around the world. While visiting St. Simon's Island beach she met George Bailey, an Ensign assigned to Temporary Additional Duty at the Naval Air Station in Brunswick, Georgia. Annette continued to travel around Mexico and Canada and kept in touch with George. They met again in Norfolk, Virginia and made plans to get married. George, a submariner, was deployed to the Mediterranean and after careful planning they were married in England with a full Military Guard of Honor courtesy of the officers of three fellow submarines.

Annette followed George around the world during his Naval Career. They lived in Norfolk, Virginia, where their first son was born, then moved to Oslo, Norway where they enjoyed skiing and their second son was born. After that came New London, Connecticut, followed by a tour at the Pentagon. While living in McLean, Virginia, Annette volunteered as a Red Cross Gray Lady at Bethesda Naval Hospital and helped in several departments. Three years later they moved to San Diego, California where George took command of the submarine USS POMFRET. The family then went to London, England and their third son was born. Three years later came the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island where their last son was born.

Another posting to the Pentagon for three years was followed by a tour at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. After Belgium they had another tour in London, England where George had a major command. Finally the family came to Pensacola for George's final tour in the Navy.

Annette, an animal lover, worked for a veterinarian in Gulf Breeze for several years. She enjoyed playing tennis, gardening and bonsai.

Annette is survived by her husband of fifty five years, George. Her four sons, Mark (Karen) and granddaughters, Samantha, Meaghan and MacKenzie of Atlanta. Son Richard of Austin, Texas. Son David (Jeni) and grandsons, Boden and Curran. Son Patrick of Atlanta.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society of Pensacola or Covenant Hospice.
