Life Legacy

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Iota for Lula Mae LeJeune Bellon, 80, who died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 at 4:05 a.m. in Iota.

Mrs. Bellon was a native and lifelong resident of Iota. She worked at the Jennings American Legion Hospital and retired after 22 years of service.

Fr. Jude Thierry, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Kenny Paul Bellon on Iota; four sons, Wendel Bellon of Lafayette, Shelby Bellon and his wife Vickie, James Bellon and Shane Bellon all of Iota; one daughter-in-law, Annette L. Bellon of Iota; four grandchildren, Brett Bellon and his wife Kortnie, Megan Bellon, Kyler Bellon and Brianne Bellon; one great-grandchild, Grant Bellon.

She was preceded in death by her son, Steve Bellon; her parents, Gaulbert and Josine Pousson LeJeune; three brothers, Ivy, Ivan and Bill LeJeune.

Pallbearers will be her two grandson-Brett Bellon, Kyler Bellon, nephews-Gilbert LeJeune, Dennis LeJeune, Shannon LeJeune, Barry LeJeune.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Patrick Griffith, Dr. Lam Ngyugen, Jennings American Legion Hospital, Synergy Home Care, caregiver-Pam Cloud and Heart of Hospice for their care of Mrs. Bellon.
