SOUTHBURY — Edith (Leone) Bardugone, 98, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at her home in Southbury. She was the widow of Frank Bardugone.

Edith was born in Bronx, N.Y., the daughter of Louis and Antonette Leone and the youngest of her seven siblings, Frank, Gilda, Emma, Josie, Gemma and Vera. She and Frank were married on June 10, 1939 and shared 32 years of marriage before Frank passed away.

She owned and operated a small business called Small World of Fashion in Monroe from 1973 until 1982. After closing her business, she spent her remaining years as a happy retired mother and grandmother to her family. She spent every Sunday bringing them all together to prepare the most amazing Sunday family meals.

She leaves her four sons, Gary, Thomas, Frank and Andrew and their wives; nine grandchildren, Stacy, Michael, Dean, Christopher, Danielle, Nicole, Katie, Ashley and Jared, and her great-grandchildren, Gary, Sarah, Madelyn, Francesca, Kylie, Anthony, Kendal, Gia, Javan and Kian.

Graveside services took place April 15 at the Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport. Arrangements were by Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home.
