Aunt Elsie was just 2 years older than my dad and felt it was her responsibility to take care of her brother "Joey." I learned a lot about my dad from her! She was a wonderful lady.

Unfortunately she began smoking at a very young age, and as she became an adult she was diagnosed with emphysema. For years she had to carry an inhaler wherever she went, even from one room to another in her house.

She loved McDonald's; went there at a regular basis and sent me photos of her with Ronald McDonald.

Aunt Elsie was married 4 times. When I spoke to her about my genealogy research, she told me about them and gave me photos, but told me not to let her current husband know anything about the first 2, because he thought she had only been married once before marrying him. I only knew the last 2.

Aunt Elsie was a real character; much loved and missed.
