A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Virginia Ruth Brasseaux at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Rev. John Wiltse and Rev. Dan O’Connor officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cecilia, LA under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will resume on Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 at the funeral home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held in the Kramer Chapel on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.

Virginia Ruth Brasseaux, 84, of Alexandria, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Raymond Joseph Brasseaux; their daughter, Jeanne Brasseaux; and her parents, Leo and Mildred Lima.

Ginnie was a parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. She was a professed member of the Holy Family Institute; and a past president of the Sodality of the Immaculate Conception. Ginnie volunteered with the VAMC, the Radio Maria Ministry and in the Prison Ministries.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Angela Bartelme and her husband, Douglas, of St. Louis, MO; and one sister Rita Gerdes and her husband, Eugene, of St. Louis, MO.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Holy Family Institute of the Society of St. Paul at P.O. Box 498, Canfield, Ohio 44406.
