AVON-Deen S. Lincoln, 91, Avon, died at 12:51 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2007, in Community Care Center of Monmouth.
He was born Aug. 31, 1915, in Avon, the son of Allen and Nellie (Shinkel) Lincoln. He married Mary Melton Aug. 12, 1951, in Little York. She survives.
He is also survived by three daughters, Sarah Jane (Paul) Seward, Fort Worth, Texas, Virginia "Ginger" (David) Lewis, Canton, and Marianne (Rob) Peirce, Cameron; grandchildren Jennifer and Terry Nienhaus, Christopher Lincoln, Ryan and Courtney Peirce, Marc and Beth Peirce, David Lewis, Erin Peirce, and Abby Seward; and great-grandchildren, Clara O'Riordan and Jacob Nienhaus, and Katlynn Seward; one brother, Wilford (Jessie) Lincoln, Abingdon; three sisters, Louise Byerly, Avon, Doris Marshall, St. Augustine, Maribelle (George) Fitch, Mendota.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a brother-in-law.
He was born and raised in the Avon community where he lived his entire life.
He served in the Army during World War II from June 1941 to November 1944, stationed at Kodiak, Alaska, with the 250th Coast Artillery.
He farmed in the rural Avon area for over 50 years. He loved his family, land, and auctions.
He was a member of the VFW Post 2301 of Monmouth and the Lawson Babbitt American Legion Post 614 of Roseville, the Avon Historical Society, Warren County. Historical Society, Roseville U.M. Church and the Warren County Farm Bureau. He was formerly a member of the Warren County Fair Board, Avon School Board #176, and Administrative Board of the United Methodist Church.
Services were held Monday, June 18, 2007, in the Roseville United Methodist Church
Burial was in Avon Cemetery, Avon.

Corman Memorial Home, Roseville, was in charge of arrangements.
