Lois, age 87, passed away on Monday at Fort Memorial Hospital in Fort Atkinson.
Lois was born the daughter of Christian E. Lindberg and Manda B. Jenson. She graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1944 and attended the University of Wisconsin.
Lois married David G. Anderson on June 19, 1948. The marriage ended in divorce in 1964.
Lois worked from 1965 to 1991 for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Following her retirement, she returned to Lake Mills. A 77-year member, she was active in the First Congregational Church, serving on the Board of Deacons. She also was active, and served as president, of the Lake Mills Women's Club. Lois volunteered regularly as a coordinator of the Meals on Wheels Program.
Lois loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She cherished the time spent with them and often talked of them with great pride. Lois was very grateful for the care she received over the last three years from the staff at Brook Gardens.
Lois is survived and sadly missed by her son, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her sister, Kathryn Gericke; and her son-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Constance, in 2003.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 11, at the First Congregational Church in Lake Mills, with the Rev. Carol A. Barth officiating. Interment will take place at Rock Lake Cemetery in Lake Mills.
