Marie Juliann Lindberg was the daughter of Christ and Caroline Lindberg with whom she moved to Oklee as a child. She attended school there graduating from the Oklee high school and attended Normal Training schools and taught in Minnesota, North and South Dakota.

Her marriage to R.V. Anderson took place at Thief River Falls March 3, 1922 and they lived in Wannaska for eight years where Mr. Anderson was the creamery manager. They later lived in Spencer, Skime, Warren and Red Lake where they operated a general store. Mrs. Anderson was a postmistress in Roseau county for 14 years.

After moving to Bemidji they operated Birchwood Acres and Paul Bunyan Motels, moving to Brainerd where they lived five years, returning to Bemidji in 1963.(Full obituary in Bemidji Pioneer, Dec 28, 1970)
