Viola Alcorn 88, of Danville passed away at 10:45 a.m. Sunday March 29, 2009, at North Logan Healthcare.
She was born Dec. 6, 1921 in Catlin, the daughter of Olick and Ethel Hill Lindberg. She married Elmer Alcorn on Sept. 18, 1947 in Catlin. He preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 2007. Her parents also preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Vaughn (Saundra) Alcorn; a brother, Andy Lindberg and two grandchildren.
She worked for Illinois Power Co as a radio operator. She had also worked for accounting firms in the area. She prepared income taxes for senior citizens for several years up until her age of 83.
