City Woman Dies of Heart Attack
Mrs. George Gagne, nee Edith Lindberg, died from a heart attack at her home on Thursday evening, July 9th [1942]. She had been in poor health for more than two years. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband; one son, Bernard; two daughters, Dorothy (Mrs. Bluem) and Delores; and three grandchildren. Three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Ellen Swanson of Medicine Lake, , Mrs. Alfred Glyer of Forest Lake, Edward Lamus of Wendover, Utah and Carl Lamus of Sacramento, California. Twenty nieces and nephews and a host of friends will also sadly miss her.
Mrs. Gagne was born at Chisago City, June 20, 1884, and was baptized and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church. At the age of seventeen years shw went to Minneapolis, and in 1910 she was married to George Gagne.
The funeral was held on Saturday, July 11th, at the Welander-Quist Funeral Home, and burial was at the Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis. Pallbearers were: Bobby Glyer, Rutheford Glyer, Gilbert Glyer, George Baron, Carl Nelson and Harry Swanson.
