Stella W. Jacobs Burg
A former resident of Oak Park, Stella W. Jacobs Burg, 83, of Downers Grove, and St. Petersburg, Fla., died June 9 in Hinsdale Sanitarium and Hospital.
She was the wife of Henry J.; mother of Varsa Gollan, Dorothy Marshall, Ruth Peterson, Lester Jacobs, and the late Capt. William Jacobs; grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of 11.
Services were June 11 in Toon funeral home in Downers Grove, with burial in Mount Auburn.
Mrs. Burg was a past worthy matron of Victory chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and a grand lecturer of the order. She was also a member of the St. Petersburg Woman’s club.
