GILBERT "GIL" H. LIST, 84, of KEANSBURG, died Thursday, April 3, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, after a brief illness. He was employed by the Railway Express Agency, followed by the New York-Keansburg-Long Branch Bus Lines and finally by the Coastal Cream & Custard Co. on the boardwalk in Keansburg. He retired several years ago. He was born and raised in Jersey City and at an early age, he and his family summered in Keansburg, where he became a permanent resident in 1952.
He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Helen List; a sister, Eunice Alverson; and his longtime friend and companion, Lillian G. Holobinko. Surviving are a nephew, David Alverson and his children.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. Monday until the funeral service at 11 a.m. from Posten's Funeral Home, 59 E. Lincoln Ave. at Central Avenue, Atlantic Highlands. Interment will be in Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
