The body of Mrs Edward Loft was brought here from Schenectady, Sunday and the funeral was held at the home of Edward Boyce. The Lofts were married here back in the days when the American was run as a hotel by Cornell & Hovey, both being employed by the hotel. The services were conducted by Rev B.T. Stafford of Christ Church and burial was in the old cemetery, the bearers being Odd Fellows of Jordan Mr Loft being a member of that body. He died about 3 years ago.
