Mrs. Linda Banigan, 71, passed away on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Linda was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 27, 1945, to Mr. Pasquale and Theresa Lombardi. She enjoyed cooking, spending quality time with her family, and cheating during family card and game night. Her husband lovingly referred to her as “Baby Cakes” and the rest of the family fondly called her “Nanny” and “Grandma Bully”. She will be deeply missed. In addition her to parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Patrick Lombardi. Surviving are her loving husband of 46 years, Thomas “Tom” Banigan; two daughters, Kelly Banigan (Tim Matthews) of Advance, and Jill Banigan (Jeffrey McCorkle) of Greensboro; one granddaughter, Madison McCorkle; one sister, April Lombardi; and step-mother, Antoinette Lombardi. A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm on Monday, April 3, 2017, at Crestview Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kate B.
