The funeral of Eliza, wife of Marcus Long, was very largely attended. The services were conducted by Rev. D. K. Humbert. Text, St. John 16:22. The remains rested in a fine cloth-covered casket. On the lid was a silver plate, bearing the inscription "At Rest." The floral tributes were fine.
Deceased was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Longswamp church and of the Longswamp Lodge of Grangers, which organization attended the funeral and six of the members acted as bearers. Her husband and the following daughters survive: Mrs. Isadore Weida, of Longswamp; Mrs. Chas. Long, of Longsdale; Lillie and Carrie, at home, and Mrs. Charles Folk, of near Farmington. Her only son was buried about 7 weeks ago. Eight grandchildren survive. Two sisters, Mrs. John G. Miller and Mrs. Ephraim Butz also survive. Her age was 59 years, 10 months and 14 days. The cause of her death was typhoid fever and lastly apoplexy.
Interment took place in Longswamp church cemetery. T. DeLong, undertaker, had charge.
