Mrs. Minnie Barton, 34, of 1101 Sylvan Road, died early Saturday at Grady Hospital of injuries received Friday night when the automobile in which she was riding was struck by a freight car on Stewart Avenue, near Wells Street, the car struck the automobile just after it had been shunted onto a side track, her husband, W. H. Barton, told police after the accident.
Loss of blood and internal injuries were causes of her death. She was pinned under the wreckage while her husband, who was driving the car, escaped with minor bruises and lacerations.
