Jerelle Long Aspinwall, 97 of Screven, Ga. died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in Wayne Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. The Pierce County, Ga. native had lived in Wayne County, Ga. most of her adult life, was a 1934 graduate of Patterson High School, a member of Screven First Baptist Church and the Phoebean Sunday School Class. She retired after 30 years with the Screven Post Office, enjoyed traveling and dancing. She was predeceased by her husband, Nolan Aspinwall and her daughter, Glenda Dale Aspinwall.
Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Raquel and Shag Wright of Screven, Ga.; a grandson, Jerry Chris Wright of Screven, Ga.; several nieces and nephews and a special pet, "Sparky".
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Screven First Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Wilcox officiating. Interment will be in the Screven City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Tommy Carter, Johnny Ben Aspinwall, David Six, Jimmy Arnold, Terry Griffis and Danny Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Screven Mayor and City Council members, the Harold Delk Sunday School Class members of Screven First Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 10 to11 A.M. prior to services at the church.
