Cecilia (Lopes) Amaral , 91, passed away on Friday, Feb 20 2015 in the Grandview Center, Cumberland. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Amaral.

Born in Esmolfe, Portugal she was the daughter of the late Jose and Miquelina (Campos) Lopes. She came to this country in 1967 settling in Cumberland.

She was employed by the International Packaging Co., Pawtucket for many years until her retirement. Mrs. Amaral was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.

She leaves three daughters, Maria Belmira DaCosta, Lucinda Cardoso and Maria DaSilva all of Cumberland. Also surviving are two brothers, Joao and Arsidio Lopes both of Cumberland and two sisters Ernestina Fernandes of Portugal and Lucinda Costa of Cumberland. She also leaves 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Antonio, Manuel and Francisco Lopes.

A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rte. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Dr., Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
