Evelyn "Black" Lorraine Compeaux, 90, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 7:12 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Harold Compeaux and wife, Brenda, and Dale Compeaux and wife, Fran; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wister Compeaux; her parents, William and Ozelia Charpentier Lorraine; one daughter, Jane Jabert; two brothers, Swietzer Lorraine and Eldon Lorraine; and three sisters, Hilda Guidry, Velda Bruce and Dorothy Lorraine.
She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
