Carol graduated from State Teachers College, Millersville, PA in 1961 with a double major in English and Social Studies. Carol was an enthusiastic antique collector and a passionate poet. She was a member of the Senior College in Maine and was a zealous reader. She especially loved mysteries. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and doing cross-word puzzles. She was creative and always added a special touch of beauty in all of her ventures.
She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Michael Lynes and Edward Lynes.
She is survived by daughters, Jennifer Brearley, Jessica Havrda, and Justine Perkins and sons, Dudley Earl Brearley and Jason Gary Brearley, son-in-law, Matthew Havrda, and ex-husband (and dear friend), Gary Brearley, as well as her grandchildren, Zachery, Dudley Junior, Willough, Charlie, Madison, McKenzie, Ellie and Casey. She will be dearly missed by all.
