Mrs. Roland (Alice A.) Mrotek, 68, of 2006 Division st., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning, March 10, at St. Mary Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Glenn Unke will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Mrotek, nee Alice Sachse, was born Jan. 28, 1913, in the Town of Newton, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Henry and Ida Rehbein Sachse. She grew up and was educated in Newton Township and moved to Manitowoc in 1924.
She was married to Roland Mrotek Sept. 30, 1944, at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death Sept. 1, 1955. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and Manitowoc County Braille Club.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ervin and Susan Mrotek of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three brothers, Murray Sachse and Frederick Sachse of Manitowoc and Vincent Sachse of DeForest, Wis., a sister, Mrs. Ervin (Lucille) Holtz of Manitowoc and three grandchildren, Cindy, Amy and Mark. Two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Wednesday evening and at the church from noon Thursday until the time of service. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, Manitowoc County Braille Club or the charity of the donor's choice.
