Yvonne Elinora MacAulay, formerly known as Beverly (BJ) Harrison, born Beverly June McColley, age 80, of Fenton/Linden passed peacefully on January 22, 2017.

Yvonne was born in Schoolcraft County, Michigan on June 20, 1936. She had a love for all animals, reading, writing, and was a terrific editor. She enjoyed traveling all over the world to nearly every continent and sharing stories of her adventures. She moved through life with class and grace.

Yvonne spent her 20’s as a New York runway model before she began working for General Motors, which is where she ultimately retired. She was the president of the Flint Woman’s Business Association at one time.

Yvonne gave a lot of herself to the Fenton Village Players as she served on the board for many years, was a production manager and acted in many shows. She had a love for the theatre, especially musicals, due in part to her lovely singing voice. She was a lifetime member of the Rosicrucian Order AMORC.

Yvonne was survived by her beloved friend Nancy Schram; her brother Derwent McColley; her sister Valerie Allen; her nieces Diane (Rick) Swoverland and Cathy Beltz (Mike), grand nieces Carrie Rheingans (Matthew Cunningham) and Christine Keway (Matt) and her great, grand nieces Allie Keway, Anna Keway and Autumn Cunningham Rheingans. Her parents, her niece Cynthia MacDonald and her nephew Michael Allen, preceded her in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) and Adopt-A-Pet (www.adoptapetfenton.com) in Fenton, Michigan.

The family will receive friends at 5pm on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Temrowski Family Funeral Home, 500 Main St. in Fenton, Michigan. A memorial service will begin at 6pm with a Rosicrucian Ritual immediately following.
