Maria Wanda Bohun, 79, Barron, Wis., died following a short illness Saturday, July 16, 2005, at Barron.

She was born Dec. 3, 1925, in Poland to Jacob and Amelia Machel. She married Stefan Bohun on Aug. 19, 1949, in Germany. They lived in Chicago, Ill., from 1950 - 1953 and in Ohio from 1954 - 1957. They then moved to Tony.

Her husband preceded her in death on June 25, 1983. She later moved to Barron in 1992 and lived here since.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Surviving are sons, Peter (Linda) of Green Bay and John of Ladysmith; daughters, Lucy (Ross) Hazlewood of Markesan and Ann (Randy) Leistikow of Barron; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Albert (Frieda) Machel.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home, Ladysmith, Dwight Hanson officiating, with burial at the Tony Cemetery.
