She was born Jan. 24, 1910, in LaPorte to the late George and Anna (Sly) Maier. She married Mike L. Aaron on April 30, 1932, in Laporte. Mr. Aaron died on April 12, 1991.
Mrs. Aaron was a member of the LaPorte United Methodist Church and a charter member of the church's Women's Society.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Mary Aaron of Freeland; her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Bud Brubaker of Midland; her grandchildren, Lee Ann Ray, Karen Popovich, Alan Brubaker, Cheryl Leavitt and Diane Yaworski; eight great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Elroy Sanford; her sisters-in-law, Birdie Maier, Katherine Atchinson and Arlene Aaron; her brothers-in-law, Walt Peters and Carl Aarons and his wife Gloria; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Melvin and Merlin Maier; and her sisters, Evelyn Peters and Elladean Maier.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11. 1997 at the Smith-Miner Funeral Home. The Rev. Timothy S. Hastings will officiate. Interment will follow in the LaPorte Cemetery.
Mrs. Aaron family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday and on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral.
