Private funeral will be tomorrow for Caroline Wheaton Mailliard of Greenbrae, a resident of Marin since 1919.
Mrs. Mailliard, 88 died Saturday in a local hospital after a brief illness.
She was a very delightful person, vivacious and outgoing, with a remarkable sense of humor," said Esther Schulz, a friend of the family.
Mrs. Mailliard was born in San Francisco. She lived in Sausalito before moving to Greenbrae about 25 years ago.
She married her husband, Ernest C. Mailliard, 57 years ago. Prior to his retirement, he was with the Federal Reserve Bank in San Francisco.
Inurnment will be in Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the Marin County Heart Fund of the Marin County Humane Society.
