A daughter of John and Irene Prenatt Mailliard, she was born at Pettis, July 25, 1921. She married Homer (Bob) Gill, May 12, 1945, in Galveston, Texas. Bob preceded her in death Nov. 12, 2004.
She graduated from Randolph High School in 1938, and worked in accounting for 30 years, including: Hillcrest Rental Office; Crawford County Trust Company; Bell Aircraft (Niagara Falls, N.Y.); Bell and Co. CPAs; the Crawford Store; Meadville Paint and Wallpaper; Frontier Homes; and Sunbeam (Seco-Warwick) Equipment Co. She retired from Seco-Warwick in 1976 after 14 years of service.
She was a member of St. Brigid Church, Meadville.
She enjoyed playing cards; gardening; embroidery; crewel; needle point; counted cross stitch, knitting; crocheting; dress making; crossword puzzles; and traveling-using her "time share."
She is survived by two sons, Daniel and his wife, Arla, of Tempe, Ariz., and Ronald of Meadville; a granddaughter, Eileen and her husband, Gabriel Callejas, of Florida; a niece and three nephews, also of Florida; and several cousins. Survivors also include her companion, Joe Bertoncini of Springhill.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Mailliard and his wife, Esther, of Florida.
Calling hours are today from noon to 2 p.m. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville.
The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Father Mark A. O'Hern, pastor of St. Brigid Church, Meadville, officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Brigid's Cemetery.
