Hazel E. Bechtel, 67, of Junction City, died Friday at the Geary County Hospital. She had been a patient for one week. Prior to hospitalization she had been ill for approximately two months. She was born in Ogden September 23, 1898. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary Train, Silver Creek, N. Y.; and Mildred Shandy, Junction City; one son, Bernard Bechtel, Cheyenne, Wyo.; one sister, Mrs. James Rowe, Manhattan; three brothers, Archie Mallon, Reno, Nev., John Mallon, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Cecil Mallon, Salina; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 9:30 a.m., Monday, in the St. Xavier Catholic Church in Junction City. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery with Msgr. Keogan officiating. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. tonight at the Johnson Funeral Home, Junction City.
