Genevieve May Eaton, 65, of 254 S. Mulberry St., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Aug. 18, 1935, in Hedgesville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Lester David and Vesta Bell Barthlow Maphis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Leon Eaton Sr., in 1997.

She retired from Canteen Food Service.

She was a member of Praise Chapel.

She is survived by:
a daughter, Brenda Stroman of Dover, Ark.;
three sons,
Donald L. Eaton Jr.,
Michael L. Eaton and
Clifford L. Eaton, all of Hagerstown;
a sister, Phyllis Bowles of Hagerstown;
a brother, Robert L. Maphis Sr. of Hagerstown;
eight grandchildren; and
four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by
two brothers,
George E. Maphis and
Ernest Maphis.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert D. Swank Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
