Mrs. Edeline died Thursday in a Portland care center of complications arising from a stroke. She was 87.
She was born Aug. 1, 1903, in Marcelline, Mo. Her maiden name was Martin. She attended a normal school in Dillon, Mont., and taught for about three years as a young woman. She married John J. Edeline on July 1, 1925, in Poplar, Mont.
The couple moved to Portland in 1941. Mrs. Edeline was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and earlier had belonged to Ascension Catholic Church. Her husband died in 1974.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Miller of Beaver; sons, John J. of Albany, Dale D. of Portland and David J. of Benicia, Calif.; sister, Evelyn Head of Houston; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
