Thirza Mae (Martin) Anderson, daughter of Thomas Martin, an Englishman born at West Stour, September 19, 1845 who was a flour miller by trade. Thomas was united in marriage in England July 22, 1872, with Thirza Mae Pattemore, born in Marriot, May 28, 1847 and they emigrated to America, Terre Haute, Indiana, them moved to Iowa and later to Phoenix, Oregon and on to Ashland, Oregon and came to Linkville July 5, 1884.
Thirza married Robert Henry Anderson at Merrill, August 9, 1908. They were the parents of Thirza Anice, born April 22, 1909 (Mrs. Charles I. Snyder) and Helen Deloras, born Oct. 15, 1910 (Mrs. Edgar Goeckner

A well known pioneer who was born in Linkville, Mrs. Thirza Mae Anderson, died Tuesday afternoon. She was 79 years old.

Mrs. Anderson was born January 12, 1889, of eight chldren born to Thomas and Thirza Martin.

Her father established the first flour mill in Linkville, in 1884. He later established a flour mill on Lost River, thus founding the town of Merrill.

She is survived by two daughters, Thirza A. DeCew of Beaverton, and Helen D. Goeckner of Klamath Falls; four grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
