The daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie Petrotta Masi, she was born on April 29, 1924 in Middletown, NY. Mary was the last survivor of their 11 children.
Mary had formerly worked at the Times Herald-Record, the local phone company and had waitressed at the Charcoal Kitchen and also Tootie’s both of Middletown.
Mary was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America, the Happy Seniors and Mulberry House. She was also an avid bingo player.
Survivors include; her husband of 65 years, Lawrence Duco, at home in Middletown; her son, Michael L. Duco of West Village, NY; her daughter, Marlene Duco of N.Y.C.; her granddaughter, Yvonne Duco and her husband, J.C. Conrow of Delmar, NY; her three great grandchildren, Patrick, Andrew and Kai; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers, Angelo Masi, George Masi, Vito Masi, Cosimo Masi, Thomas Masi, Joseph Masi Jr., and John Masi, and sisters, Rose Lostumbo, Josephine Malano, and Jennie Dubaldi.
Friends may call at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 2 – 6 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 am on Monday, January 23, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Church, 149 Cottage St., Middletown, NY. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Middletown, NY.
