Linn County Coroner's report shows that a translator (Joseph Sosel, Esq) was employed for the inquest into the death of Barbara Masina, who was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head. (Spelling of her last name varies from Masin in the coroner's report to Maschena in the Cedar Rapids Times and Masina for her husband's headstone at the Anamosa State Penitentiary.)

Barbara's husband Frank was later arrested and tried, convicted of murder, and eventually died at the Anamosa Prison.

Due to the nationality involved, I've placed her at Czech National but there is no confirmation of this.
