She was a native of Madison County, Ala., daughter of the late James and Docia Shockley Mason.
Mrs. Bain was a retired employee of Serbin Manufacturing Co., and was a member of Grace Chapel Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Towry Henderson of Fayetteville; two sons, Clyde Bain of DeSoto, Mo., and Lawrence Bain of Lincoln County; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Blaylock and Mrs. Althie Tallent, both of Lincoln County, and Mrs. Virginia Adkins of Madison County, Ala.; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
