Helen Closter Parr, age 90, died on Saturday (Sept. 27, 2003) at the Raritan Health and Extended Care Center in Raritan. Born in Bernards Township, daughter of the late William Henry Mason and Mabel Edna Nelson, Helen grew up in Martinsville. She also lived in Belle Mead, Warren and Watchung before moving to Middlesex one year ago. She worked as a supervisor for Bell Labs in Warren for over 20 years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Volunteer Rescue Squad in Watchung. Helen was a member of Harlingen Reformed Church in Belle Mead, and a former member of Mt. Horeb Methodist Church in Warren. Helen was predeceased by her two husbands, Frank Closter and Arthur Parr. She is survived by her four daughters, Nancy, Kathleen, Jean, and Frances; two step-sons, Arthur Parr and Greg Parr , and Cynthia . Also surviving are two brothers, William and Robert Mason; two sisters, Dottie and Elsie; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren
