Rose E. Massari (nee Gesue), age 86, of North Ridgeville, died Sunday at North Ridge Health Center, North Ridgeville, following a short illness.

She was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past year moving from Parma where she had lived most of her life.

Mrs. Massari had worked at Federals Department Store at Pearl and Brookpark and also Halles Department Store in downtown Cleveland for many years.

She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville and formerly of St. Charles Borromeo, Parma. She was also a member of Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3483 in Independence.

Survivors include sons Paul of Litchfield, Robert of North Ridgeville; daughter Patricia Guy of Parma; sister Philomena "Phil" Ferrara of Kent; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband Albert in 1989 and parents, Leopold and Diomira (nee Jaruse) Gesue.

Friends may call Monday from 3-7PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where prayers services will be held on Tuesday at 9:30AM. A10:00AM funeral mass will follow at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Stephen Kaminski, Pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1689 East 115th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44106.
