DIANA "DEE" (MASSI) LUNA

Mrs. Diana "Dee" Luna (nee Massi), 75, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Friday May 1, 2009 at N.F. Memorial Medical Center.

She was born on December 7, 1933 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada to the late Alfredo and Angela Rose (Mari) Massi.

She married Dominic F. "Buddy" Luna on June 12, 1954 at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Diana's family was her first love and she had many friends. Her favorite pastimes included bowling, lawn bowling, playing cards, sewing Raggedy Anne dolls and reading. Diana was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and New York Yankees sports teams. She enjoyed attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and watching them play.

For more than twenty years, she worked in the Children's Department of the Niagara Falls Library until retiring in 1998. Diana was a devout member of Sacred Heart Church for over fifty years and was thought of as an angel to those who knew her.

Diana was the mother of Susan (Shawn) DeLong of Niagara Falls; Dominic J. (Cyndi) Luna of Lewiston; Donna (Kevin) Klinger of Niagara Falls; JoAnn Mills of Lewiston and Jospeh P. Luna of Niagara Falls.

She was predeceased by a son Joseph F. Luna.

Survivors also include two sisters Amelia "Millie" Gonzalez and Columba "Chris" (Earl) Kostuk both of Niagara Falls, one brother Umberto "Bert" (Marilyn) Massi of Niagara Falls, Ontario.

She was the grandmother of Kevin (Christine) Klinger, Robert (Cecelia) Klinger, Kelli Luna, Michael Luna, Vienna Mills and Casey DeLong and great grandmother of Trevor Klinger.

Survivors also include several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Diana was predeceased by her sister Bruna "Brunie" (late Jack) Smith.

Friends may call on Sunday from 5 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are also invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday May 4th at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. Everybody Please Assemble at Church.

Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
