Evelyn Dolores Gherardi, 89, of Mount Vernon, passed away on November 14, 2013. Born August 8, 1924 in Derby, CT to the late Getulio and Antoinette (nee Valerio) Massi. Evelyn is survived by her children John (Julianne) Gherardi, Joyce (August) Vettorino and Thomas (Linda) Gherardi, loving grandchildren Joseph, James, Paul and Stephen Gherardi, Michael Vettorino, Cristen Vettorino-Forma, and sister-in-law Mary Gherardi. She was preceded in death by her sisters Laura Tallevi and Dina Massi, and her brother Guido Massi.
Evelyn spent most of her 89 years in the Fleetwood section of Mt. Vernon which she loved and had many friends.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER,on Saturday - November 16, 2013 from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm. Funeral Service to be held at Westchester Funeral Home, followed by Interment at Holy Mount Cemetery, 53 Winterhill Road, Tuckahoe, New York.
