Marjorie H. Derry, Galesburg Chapel 83, of Galesburg died at 9:30 pm Friday, March 16, 2012 in Cottage Hospital.
She was born February 4, 1929 in Galesburg the daughter of Clinton and Hortence Johnson Masters. She married Eldon L. Derry on January 1, 1967 in Las Vegas, NV. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2001.
She is survived by two brothers, Irvin (Jean) Masters and Marvin (Helen) Masters both of Galesburg and several nieces and nephews.
She worked as a meat wrapper for the former A & P Grocery Store for 12 years and Eagles Grocery Store for 12 years. She retired in 1980. Marjorie was a member of the last graduating class of Gilson High School in 1948. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Tuesday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Ron Scarlett will officiate. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 am Tuesday at the chapel.
