Beloved wife of the late Leonard, loving mother of Judy (Tim) Tanner, Joy Petrella, Ann Marie Battaglia. Dearest grandmother of Robert, Abigail, Kristin Tanner and Anthony Petrella.
Mary Ann was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Helen (Makransky) and Vincent Mathias. She spent her entire life in the Cleveland area until she moved to Minnesota to live with her daughter for health reasons in 2015.
Mary Ann graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1948. She worked for General Electric at Nela Park as a secretary for many years.
In 1960, she married Leonard. Together, they raised 3 daughters. Mary Ann was an avid Indian's fan. She loved to watch games, play cards and Scrabble with her family. Mary Ann enjoyed bowling in her younger years. She also enjoyed reading and baking. Mary Ann was an amazing cook as well, especially with Hungarian dishes. She was a generous donor to many worthwhile causes including ALS, Catholic Charities, Cancer and Alzheimer's research.
Mary Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, who will be dearly missed.

Friends will be received Tuesday Dec. 27, 2016 from 5-8 PM at JOHNSON-ROMITO FUNERAL HOME 521 BROADWAY AVE. BEDFORD, OHIO (440) 232-1441. Prayers at the funeral home Wednesday Dec. 28, 2016 at 9:15 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Monica Catholic Church 13632 Rockside Road Garfield Hts., Ohio 44125.
